Federal Govt abruptly Ends $8000 Rebate!

It may be the end for the $8000 rebate however there is Solar Credits...

The Government has brought the Solar Homes and Communities Plan (SHCP) $8000 rebate to an abrupt end on Tuesday 9 June and will only accept completed applications sent by (Tuesday 9 June 2009). Refer to the joint media release from Peter Garrett and Penny Wong attached. Click here for Government press release

The rationale for this drastic step is the recent surge in applications for the $8000 grant which will see the Government spend several hundred million dollars more than it had allowed for in the budget. The Government has advised that there are currently more than 63,000 applications in the pipeline that will be progressively installed over the next nine months or so.

Ecovation is still running our Solar Neighbourhoods Program utilising the Governments proposed new Solar Credits Program and for those customers who regrettably missed out, don't worry as you will be able to take advantage of our new offer. Click here for more info...

Our team will be in touch with you over the coming days to outline our new strategy involving the Governments new Solar Credits Scheme.

Completed applications for the Solar Homes and Communities Plan which have already been sent, or are sent by Tuesday 9 June, will be accepted for assessment, while all new installations of small-scale solar, wind and hydro systems will be eligible for Solar Credits as of 10 July 2009.

Pre-Approved Customer's can Switch!!!

Customers that have already been approved under the old $8000 rebate scheme (and are currently using another installer), if you change from your old installer to Ecovations Free Solar Neighbourhoods Offer, we can install a 1kW system with 2kW Inverter for free (this is covered by the RECS and your approved $8000 rebate - click here for additional information).

Why you may wish to consider this is that due to the Government closing down the rebate scheme 3 weeks early we anticipate that many over priced PV installers may not survive over the next couple of months, if you have an installation with one of these installers and are worried about your installation, please give us a call and we will happily take care of your installation for you. 100% covered by RECs and rebate.
