Ecovation's Bara House
Bara House is a community and health initiative founded by Ecovation Water & Energy Solutions, and pioneered by it’s Managing Director Dewayne Montey. In 2006, Dewayne embraced an opportunity to join Gold Coast City Council and local industry delegates to participate is a trade mission to China attending the Eco Asia trade fair.
As a follow on from this event, Dewayne established Ecovation Water & Energy Solutions as a full service environmental company that focused on improving total quality of life for families through affordable and innovative green technologies.
Under Dewayne’s leadership he has grown Ecovation organically from scratch to a company boasting 30 full time staff and a contractor field force of 30+ installers. As a compliment to his environmental conscience, Dewayne’s community ambition is to also use part of his Ecovation created wealth to build BARA HOUSE.
Bara House aims to rebalance nature and humanity through rejuvenating denuded public land and converting the space into eco respite communities. The project aims to set up a public benevolent institution to provide independent living for people marginalised by mental health issues, and will provide an opportunity to build communities that rebalance nature and humanity. Thus providing affordable housing and care for people living with mental illness. Creating a perfect balance for the mind, body and environment.
