About ecovation

With increasing environmental awareness, sustainability is proving to be a necessity rather than a trend favoured by a select few, says founding director of Ecovation Dewayne Montey.

“The relationship between the planet and mankind is not mutually exclusive – we are all part of an interconnected global system and our actions can have positive and negative impacts on the world around us,” he said.

Ecovation was started in 2006 as a direct response to the overwhelming evidence into the impacts of Global Warming widely viewed as a consequence of mankind's over consumption of natural resources.

Mr Montey said reducing greenhouse gas emissions required a sense of urgency in the greater community and Evocation played an integral role in helping to answer the question, ‘Where do I start?’.

"He said you didn’t have to be a scientist or world leader to embrace sustainability."

“Each and every one of us can make simple lifestyle changes right at home and in the workplace,” he said.

“The key to making a difference is in making wiser choices and implementing better practices at home and in the workplace.”

Ecovation offers a comprehensive range of eco-friendly products and services to help clients cut greenhouse gas emissions, save money and add value to their home.

The backbone of the company is in designing large scale bulk installation programs in collaboration with Local Government authorities which accelerate the take up of quality green living products and services which when delivered as a large project can achieve big savings for the homeowner.

Ecovation's trademark Solar Neighbourhoods Program was first launched in May 2009 in partnership with the Logan City Council and to date more than 400 homeowners have taken part in the program installing a combination of Solar Hot Water, Solar Grid Connect, Rainwater Tanks & Insulation.

The program has received the highest accolades from the community and was a finalist in the prestigeous 2009 Keep Australia Beautiful Awards in the Energy Warriors category that recognises Local Government Energy Conservation Initiatives.

Ecovation has also been appointed as one of two key program partners as at January 2010 to deliver the QLD Governments Solar Hot Water Program which will see up to 200,000 homeowners by 2012 receive a Solar Hot Water System.

This appointment has enabled Ecovation to build the largest aggregated trade contractor network in Queensland with an ability to deliver large scale installation role outs of Solar technology through the entire State of QLD.

We hope you find our web site informative and helpful in learning more about how simple Ecovation can make Green Living possible and we look forward to enjoying the relationship we can create with you our customer who we are honored to serve.
